Point Center
Point Center with James Parker takes an introspective look at youth sports and college athletics through a variety of angles. Kobe Bryant would always say to me “Sports is the ultimate metaphor for life.” Basketball teaches us a lot of things about each other and life. Discussions will revolve around the values and skills it takes to be successful in sports, and how those values and skills apply to our lives. Through a host of interviews with knowledgeable experts in their fields, I will dive into topics like skill development, athletic performance, strength, conditioning, mental aspects, leadership, branding, recruiting and more.

Episode 3
NAIA Hall of Fame Coach Russ Davis takes the mic to sit down with WNBA players Karlie and Katie Lou of the Dallas Wings. They talk about the things they did, would do differently or not do again in their transition as players from high school to college and college to the pros. Karlie played collegiate basketball for Stanford, played in two Final Fours and was a honorable mention all-American. Lou, an all-American and first round draft pick played for UConn, where she won a national championship (2016). In high school, Lou was a McDonald's All-American and National Gatorade Player of the year. They both played travel basketball for Coach Russ Davis as members of the Nike program Cal Swish.
